Al Pacino -- Targeted By IRS Over $188k Debt

The Internal Revenue Service just filed a tax lien against Pacino -- claiming he slighted the government out of $169,143.06 in 2008 and $19,140.44 in 2009 ... for a grand total of $188,283.50.
A rep for Pacino tells TMZ ... Al never intended to screw over Uncle Sam ... and blames the whole thing on his former business manager Kenneth Starr ... not the guy from Lewinsky fame ... the convicted Ponzi schemer who was just sentenced to seven years in prison for bilking a bunch of Hollywood bigwigs out of millions.

We’re sick of all this speculation about who’ll be picked as a judge to star in the US & UK versions of X Factor. At one time it was thought that Cheryl Cole was a dead cert for the US version, but now that’s looking unlikely to happen despite Simon Cowell’s best efforts to try and convince American producers that she’s right for the role.
Consequently Simon’s apparently feeling all glum and guilty – seeing as he built up Cheryl’s expectations n’all. A pal of his said:
“Simon is full of guilt and hates the fact he has spent all these months building Cheryl up for her big American break and now it’s likely he will have to let her go from the show.”
Well we’re sure she’ll get over it. Simon Cowell has by the looks of it; he spent the weekend driving around Hollywood in his $1,600,000 convertible Bugatti Veyron which is apparently the world’s most expensive modern car. Well its alright for some isn’t it?

Lindsay Lohan wants her mom in Los Angeles?
Despite her mom’s ‘Good Morning America’ appearance, Lindsay Lohan apparently wants mom Dina Lohan out in Los Angeles to see her.
Lindsay has allegedly been begging her mom to come by, states TMZ. Now, Dina will reportedly be flying out to offer her daughter some support as she hasn’t been in town lately.
Lindsay currently isn’t able to leave Los Angeles, so it’s up to her family to come see her. The two will reportedly keep the visit low-key and just hang out like normal mother and daughter.

Inception is big winner at Sound Editors Golden Reel Awards

The Academy Award-nominated film, which stars Leonardo DiCaprio, was recognised for best sound editing in the categories of sound effects & foley and music in a feature film.
Its Oscar rival The Social Network was also celebrated at the event, winning a trophy for best sound editing in the category for dialogue and automated dialogue replacement in a feature film.
Gwyneth Paltrow's movie Country Song scooped the award for best sound editing of music in a musical, while How To Train Your Dragon was named the animated feature with the best sound editing.
Star Wars master George Lucas was at the ceremony to hand the MPSE award for Career Achievement to veteran sound designer Walter Murch, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Presenting the honour to Murch, Lucas told the crowd, "Sound is half of the experience of a motion picture... The sound editor should start working the same day the editor starts working."

One of his most notorious playthings says she is pregnant - hey, he always wanted a "porn family" - but luckily for Charlie, she does NOT think it's his.
